7èmes Journées de Neurophysiologie Clinique 2025
7èmes Journées de Neurophysiologie Clinique
The 7th Days of Clinical Neurophysiology (JNC) will take place in Bordeaux from July 1 to 3, 2025. Organized by the French-speaking Society of Clinical Neurophysiology, these days offer the ideal opportunity to bring together a diverse team of experts: neurophysiologists, neurologists, pediatric neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, intensive care physicians, neuroscientists, engineers, nurses, and technicians.
This year's edition presents several exciting topics. The theme day on July 1 pays tribute to Jean-Didier Vincent, who passed away on December 4, 2024, and then focuses on research into the basal ganglia and their role in motor and cognitive functions. In parallel, we are organizing a day specifically for nurses, concluding with an EEG and EMG quiz. To conclude this first day, Jennifer Coull will introduce us to the world of time with a plenary lecture on time perception.
The following days offer a diverse program with high-profile presentations. We will specifically examine the neurological development of newborns from a neurophysiological perspective, the adaptation of the vestibular system to microgravity, and the involvement of neurointensivists in EEG monitoring of epilepsy. We will also examine the contribution of neurophysiological approaches to functional neurological disorders and discuss cognitive functions and SEEG mapping. Other innovative topics include intraoperative monitoring of the posterior fossa and the peripheral system, the electrophysiological dynamics of sleep and its disorders, and the neurophysiology of co-esthesia and interoception. A session on EMG will conclude the conference.
As every year, in addition to the themed sessions, there will also be practice-oriented workshops. This year's focus will be on EEG, plexus EMG, rTMS, and TDCs.
